KAREENA Yoga and Belly Dance Fitness

With over forty years experience in the safe practice of yoga Kareena has earned Yoga Alliance's RYT500 advanced certification.

Studied in many dance forms here and abroad Kareena also holds teacher certification thru Bozenka's Dance Academy located in Miami Beach

Her yoga classes feature a meditative flow combining traditional yoga postures with rhythmic torso isolations that awaken connective tissue or yin muscles to increase range of motion.

She emphazises postural alignment and breath focus and includes self massage techniques to help release muscular tension. Her instruction is gentle, soothing and grounding.

Her belly dance classes feature traditional Middle-Eastern moves...hip isolations, undulations and graceful arm arm and hand motion...taught slowly and logically.

VYJANANTHI Indian Dance Fitness

Vyjayanthia is trained in Bharatanatyam, a south Indian classic
dance, Bhangra, a Punjabi folk dance and north Indian dances
Kuchipudi, Kathak and Odissi.

She has been dancing "Bollywood" dance for the last 15 years
performing at various cultural programs in Chicago, Miami
and Washington, DC. Most recently, she was a Bharatanatyam
dancer with the Dakshina/ Daniel Phoenix Singh Dance company.

ALLY Tai Chi Chih

Ally helps beginning Tai Chi students get in touch with their core-energy. An accredited T'ai Chi Chih instructor who has worked with seniors and those recovering from trauma or strain Ally accomadates all levels of fitness in her classes.

Graduated from midwifery school in the USSR Ally worked as a surgical nurse at Minsk Hospital where she also studied parapsychology and hatha yoga. After an injury in 1996, Ally was unable to practice yoga and looked to T'ai Chi Chih, a gentle form of movement that relaxes the muscles of the lower back and legs.

In addition to her classes at Sweet Magic Studio, Ally teaches at Oakton Community College.
